Designer's insight:

Willo, a trip in the middle of nature. The beauty of landscapes passing and changing along the road. An invitation to reflect on the most essential questions. Of a time that stops, of a time for oneself. Pablo Garcia Marquez wrote: to travel is to fly to new horizons, to travel the road is to try to change.

Willo is a piece that expresses its personality by combining delicacy and character with the utilitarian and timeless world of Meune. We like its elegance while being comfortable, functional and resistant.

Crafted in rich wool twill, Willo is a cargo trouser with a tailor style. It features a flared silhouette, a mid-rise waist with a straight cut, two buttoned front flap pockets and two back piped pockets. Embellished with two signature thigh-high bands hand-woven by Mapuche women in the Andes, Argentina.

These flowy, water-repellent wool pants are perfect for wearing with our MAWE trench dress, fully open or layered for iconic style.

  • Care instructions

We use only the finest materials for our creations, so please follow the care instructions to take good care of them.

Wool, as a fiber, cleans naturally, expels odors by controlling moisture, and is naturally resistant to stains and creases. This means you shouldn't have to wash your woolens as often.

If you must wash them, choose a professional wash.

Tumble dryers are not allowed as they tend to shrink wool, so air dry flat instead.

Avoid traditional dry cleaning, which is a chemical-intensive process that can have a negative impact on the environment, textile fibers and your skin.

If dry cleaning is necessary, look for an environmentally friendly service. Ironing can crush or flatten the natural pile of threads.

Instead, steam clean your coat to remove wrinkles and odors, and help kill dust mites and bacteria. Brush between uses to remove lint and dandruff. This will also help release the natural oils that regenerate the fibers.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Meune is an independent fashion and lifestyle label that develops limited edition, responsible “slow fashion” clothing produced locally and responsibly, through fabrics upcycling.

Meune finds its meaning in the valorization of traditional Andean know-how and cultural heritage as a quest for rootedness, natural and human harmony.

Rooted in the living heritage, traditions and craftsmanship of South America, Meune’s universe and vision of the world inspires an aesthetic and utilitarian style of its own that regenerates and transforms itself through the experiences of its creator.

Trans-seasonal creations of sophisticated elegance with character, sublimated by artisanal textiles belonging to the ancestral Andean culture.

Whether it is a single piece, upcycled or a limited edition, Meune's uniqueness is based on the valorization of traditional South American know-how and French manufacturing.

All are unique garments made in the heart of Paris from the upcycling of Haute Couture fabrics from prestigious French fashion houses. They are sublimated with artisanal textiles dyed and woven with ancestral techniques by indigenous communities in South America.
