Designer's Insight:

Majen, a walk in the forest under the rain. The paths are freed to be discovered differently. A mysterious landscape. The scent of trees is enhanced, the green hue of leaves is deeper. The strong water currents amplify their melody, our footsteps resonate in the puddles. Under the downpour, our senses are sharpened, modifying our perception to make us live a remarkable experience.

Majen expresses its personality by combining elegance and character with MEUNE's utilitarian universe. We love its functional, streamlined, timeless, and durable side.

Made from coated cotton and linen with a cupro lining, Majen is a comfortable and functional safari jacket with a timeless look. It features an oversized buttoned cut with a belted waist and a structured and ample fall for maximum comfort and style. It is embellished with buttoned shoulder and cuff straps, four front pockets with flaps: two patch and two bellows, as well as our iconic MEUNE golden ornament that signs this creation.

This timeless and structured safari jacket is a must-have that can be paired with all pieces from our capsule collection, as well as with all your casual or formal outfits throughout the seasons.

  • Care instructions

We use the finest materials for our creations, so be sure to follow the care instructions to take good care of them.

As a general rule, when washing fabric blends, refer to the most delicate fabric in the blend.

Cotton is a very soft and breathable fabric, but it is susceptible to shrinkage, colour fading and loss of shape over time.

The usual recommendation for washing a cotton garment is to wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle to avoid shrinking and fading. Avoid fabric softeners as they can dull the finish. Do not tumble dry. Iron only on the reverse side and make sure to use a low temperature iron.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Meune is an independent fashion and lifestyle label that develops limited edition, responsible “slow fashion” clothing produced locally and responsibly, through fabrics upcycling.

Meune finds its meaning in the valorization of traditional Andean know-how and cultural heritage as a quest for rootedness, natural and human harmony.

Rooted in the living heritage, traditions and craftsmanship of South America, Meune’s universe and vision of the world inspires an aesthetic and utilitarian style of its own that regenerates and transforms itself through the experiences of its creator.

Trans-seasonal creations of sophisticated elegance with character, sublimated by artisanal textiles belonging to the ancestral Andean culture.

Whether it is a single piece, upcycled or a limited edition, Meune's uniqueness is based on the valorization of traditional South American know-how and French manufacturing.

All are unique garments made in the heart of Paris from the upcycling of Haute Couture fabrics from prestigious French fashion houses. They are sublimated with artisanal textiles dyed and woven with ancestral techniques by indigenous communities in South America.
