Clay shaped by hand in a primitive way was systematically dipped in hot wax, the new “shells” created carefully removed by peeling and slicing. The clay gradually dried out and wax flowed into this new porosity, resulting in serendipitous texture. The wax model was then cast into partially recycled sterling silver.
Organic and sculptural sterling silver statement piece with patina. Necklace can be worn with either side showing. Signature double spiral hooks and spiral hand-linked details. Total length: 43cm.
