The Pan-Shirt has a straight oversized cut and comes with a belt.
The big round shaped sleeve is inspired by the classic Parka sleeve, with it’s big volume for easy movement. They are shaped by two small pleats in the side seam of the sleeve. The cuffs feature 2 buttons and a cased slit.
The mandarin-collar is cut to be loose around the neck when wearing it buttoned up. The button placket with ribbon-closing ends in a pleat a little over halfway down the shirt.
The shirt has a strong rounded hemline and is slightly longer in the back. It features the recognizable NoC hanger detail in the back of the extra broad saddle, with a wide pinch fold below it.
We pay a lot of attention to beautiful workmanship to make the garment on the inside as nice and neat as it is on the outside. The buttons are made from corozo, produced in Vienna.
The „Vintage Honansilk“ is dead stock of a fabric store in the heart of Vienna, they stopped buying new fabrics in the 70s, since then they are selling their Swiss silks, cottons and English woolen cloth to selected customers who know that this place exists.
The honansilk is screen printed, which can be spotted by the occasional overlapping of colors. It is quite light and has a stiffness to it. As it is a vintage fabric, the stock of the colors differs and is limited.
We recommend dry cleaning or carefully wash by hand in cool water.
Our shirts are either made in Slovakia by a small company, employing seamstresses skilled in tailoring, working from home on single pieces, or in Hungary by an experienced menswear seamstress who masters classic shirt finishing.
