Designer's Insight:

Mauni, a walk between dunes and tawny rocks. The colors of nature express themselves harmoniously, a delight for the view. Above the mountain and the valley, thoughts come and go. The mind is contemplative until the moon appears. It casts a bewitching ray, it is time to dream.

Mauni is a piece that expresses its uniqueness by combining elegance and character with Meune's utilitarian and functional universe. We love its timeless, versatile, and durable side.

Presented in wool twill, Mauni is a trans-seasonal jumpsuit with a fluid drape that emphasizes the silhouette. It stands out with a straight cut, a bodice with a buttoned placket, 3/4 sleeves, and a standing collar. Embellished with two signature front patch pockets, as well as our iconic belt with its wooden buckle. These handmade woolen decorations were woven by Mapuche women in the south of Argentina. The cannelier wood buckle was carved by artisans within the same indigenous community.

Very comfortable to wear, this elegant jumpsuit with buttoned shoulder tabs will be an ideal match for a workwear style, accompanied by a pair of high heels or tall boots.

  • Care instructions

We use only the finest materials for our creations, so please follow the care instructions to take good care of them.

Wool, as a fiber, cleans naturally, expels odors by controlling moisture, and is naturally resistant to stains and creases. This means you shouldn't have to wash your woolens as often.

If you must wash them, choose a hand wash in cold water. Use a detergent designed for chemical-free woolens.

Tumble dryers are not allowed as they tend to shrink wool, so air dry flat instead.

Avoid traditional dry cleaning, which is a chemical-intensive process that can have a negative impact on the environment, textile fibers and your skin.

If dry cleaning is necessary, look for an environmentally friendly service. Ironing can crush or flatten the natural pile of threads.

Instead, steam clean your trousers to remove wrinkles and odors, and help kill dust mites and bacteria.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Meune is an independent fashion and lifestyle label that develops limited edition, responsible “slow fashion” clothing produced locally and responsibly, through fabrics upcycling.

Meune finds its meaning in the valorization of traditional Andean know-how and cultural heritage as a quest for rootedness, natural and human harmony.

Rooted in the living heritage, traditions and craftsmanship of South America, Meune’s universe and vision of the world inspires an aesthetic and utilitarian style of its own that regenerates and transforms itself through the experiences of its creator.

Trans-seasonal creations of sophisticated elegance with character, sublimated by artisanal textiles belonging to the ancestral Andean culture.

Whether it is a single piece, upcycled or a limited edition, Meune's uniqueness is based on the valorization of traditional South American know-how and French manufacturing.

All are unique garments made in the heart of Paris from the upcycling of Haute Couture fabrics from prestigious French fashion houses. They are sublimated with artisanal textiles dyed and woven with ancestral techniques by indigenous communities in South America.
