The collection:
The Eclectic collection draws inspiration from a diverse range. Being brought up in Kathmandu, Nepal, and having lived in New York for five years, Nikita has blended the culture and art of these places in her designs. The collection has fused traditional Nepali textiles with Western styles of clothing in its designs. Additionally, in pursuit of fair trade practice, the whole collection is ethically made in Nepal using locally sourced deadstock fabrics.
The Brand and Designer:
TŌPA is an ethically operated streetwear brand from Nepal that produces its collection from deadstock fabrics. Founded by Nikita Deuja, winner of the Liz Claiborne Design for Impactful Future Scholar Award 2021 by the CFDA, TŌPA is a vertically integrated brand promoting sustainable, ethical, and transparent values. Growing up in a developing country like Nepal, Nikita got to closely see the unethical practices accepted in the fashion industry. At TŌPA, we consciously remove these exploitations and promote a culture where every stakeholder is treated and compensated fairly.
