This season, the design concept centers around the idea of a banquet table, where traditional clothing elements are deconstructed and reimagined to create a variety of garments infused with the characteristics of a "head chef." Continuously breaking down and reshaping conventional silhouettes, the collection embraces the brand's expertise in the deconstructive style of one garment, multiple wears.The result is a reconstruction and deconstruction of traditional styles into modern and trendy shirt designs, featuring the introduction of several classic gender-neutral pieces in this season's lineup.
This suit jacket reimagines traditional chef uniforms by replacing conventional button closures with a layered silhouette. The right collar is deconstructed and extended into a folding guard, enhancing the overall visual complexity. On the right panel and guard, belt loops and buttonholes are strategically placed, allowing easy securing of the guard with straps. The straps can also be untied to create a natural flowing effect for the guard. Additionally, the use of glossy fabric for the right panel and straps, along with the juxtaposition of fabrics, enriches the overall layering of the garment.
This suit jacket can be paired with the brand's deconstructed wide-leg trousers to achieve a longer and more fashionable overall appearance. The inspiration for this season comes from the traditional Taiwanese banquet known as "Ban-Doh." Ban-Doh is not just about catering; it's a complete banquet service that connects people during every special occasion such as weddings, funerals, celebrations of newborns, and temple festivals. It weaves connections between individuals who wish to meet and chat on special days, making it an integral part of Taiwanese culture.
"Ban-Doh" not only pays homage to the gradually fading Taiwanese culture but also aims to reinterpret tradition with a modern flair, following our brand's 21SS collection, "Connextion," in hopes to emphasize the importance of human connections in today's society.
In terms of clothing design, we've incorporated elements inspired by the season's theme, deconstructing and reconstructing traditional attire. Particularly, we've focused on the distinctive attire of the "Ban-Doh" master, reimagining its iconic double-breasted jacket and apron into modern shirt styles. The prints draw inspiration from traditional Ban-Doh elements such as round tables, red plastic chairs, lanterns, and canopies. These elements are deconstructed and cleverly combined, arranged in a pixelated manner to create a fashionable and elegant classic style.
The color palette includes INF's classic dark hues, as well as the traditional red, green, and blue from the Taiwanese Qie Zhi bag, creating a unique impression that combines modernity with traditional style.
