the leather long wallet has been hand cut from a butter soft full grain washed 1.2mm vegetable tanned horse culatta with a matte black aniline dye treatment. culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and firm temper.
hand sewn over an 18 hour period the wallet features hand dyed 0.65mm japanese linen thread and an 8cm hand hammered iron shank closure to the front which will rust with use over time and react with the leather creating a rich rust nuance. multiple card slots that allow you to hold up to 12 cards are complimented by a zipper pocket with a custom zipper pull and a large note compartment, that all fold like the pages of a book for a compact utility wallet. each piece comes in a handmade leather pouch.
