Inspired by the calcium carbonate scales called coccoliths building a sphere around the nucleus of the Rhabdosphaera Clavigera the shape of these Necklace Links developed. This species belongs to the Coccolithophores and are unicellular phytoplankton.
This piece is 3d-modeled on the computer, 3d-printed in wax and cast with the lost-wax-method.
