These trousers are made of hand-spun and handwoven fabrics from Mali, each piece meticulously hand dyed and adorned with natural pigments.
The collection by Coloriage is dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional cotton processing techniques in West Africa, while also providing support to the communities that continue to practice them. According to local beliefs, the energies of the natural elements woven into the fabric are absorbed by the wearer and every mark on the fabric symbolizes the animals and presences that protect the community.
These Palazzo trousers were designed at Coloriage Free Fashion School in Rome, Italy, and handcrafted by refugee and migrant tailors. Every coat is either one of a kind or made in limited edition.
