Designer's insight:

Kahl, a return to the land. To favor a simple, yet substantial way of living. The bravery to change one's life. Closer to nature, the wilderness. The peace, quiet, and beauty of the countryside. The desire to return to essential values. Little moments of magic that make all the difference. The silence and the blue of the night. Freedom, the right to be one's self.

Kahl represents the simple and nonchalant elegance that is essential in our collection. It is a timeless piece that combines sobriety and finesse with Meune's utilitarian universe. We love its versatile, functional, sleek, and durable aspect.

Presented in compact wool flannel, Kahl is a comfortable and functional overshirt with a timeless look. It stands out with a structured oversized cut, buttoned with a shirttail bottom, two flap front pockets, and a notched collar. It has a compact and ample fall for maximum comfort and style. Enhanced by our signature artisanal decoration on the hand-woven wool under-collar made by Mapuche women in southern Argentina.

This overshirt has a sleek silhouette and can be worn with our LONKO  pants by raising the collar to reveal the artisanal pattern for an iconic look.

  • Care instructions
We use only the finest materials for our creations, so please follow the care instructions to take good care of them.
Wool, as a fiber, cleans naturally, expels odors by controlling moisture, and is naturally resistant to stains and creases. This means you shouldn't have to wash your woolens as often
If you must wash them, choose a hand wash in cold water. Use a detergent designed for chemical-free woolens.
Tumble dryers are not allowed as they tend to shrink the wool, so air dry flat instead.
Avoid traditional dry cleaning, which is a chemical-intensive process that can have a negative impact on the environment, textile fibers and your skin.
If dry cleaning is necessary, look for an environmentally friendly service. Ironing can crush or flatten the natural pile of threads.
Instead, steam clean your overshirt to remove wrinkles and odors, and help kill dust mites and bacteria. Brush between uses to remove lint and dandruff. This will also help release the natural oils that regenerate the fibers.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Meune is an independent fashion and lifestyle label that develops limited edition, responsible “slow fashion” clothing produced locally and responsibly, through fabrics upcycling.

Meune finds its meaning in the valorization of traditional Andean know-how and cultural heritage as a quest for rootedness, natural and human harmony.

Rooted in the living heritage, traditions and craftsmanship of South America, Meune’s universe and vision of the world inspires an aesthetic and utilitarian style of its own that regenerates and transforms itself through the experiences of its creator.

Trans-seasonal creations of sophisticated elegance with character, sublimated by artisanal textiles belonging to the ancestral Andean culture.

Whether it is a single piece, upcycled or a limited edition, Meune's uniqueness is based on the valorization of traditional South American know-how and French manufacturing.

All are unique garments made in the heart of Paris from the upcycling of Haute Couture fabrics from prestigious French fashion houses. They are sublimated with artisanal textiles dyed and woven with ancestral techniques by indigenous communities in South America.
