WHAT IS THE SHOP ALL ABOUT
THE SHOP is a fresh online concept providing access to unobtainable designer pieces from a wide selection of fashion brands. After extensive market research and a finger on the design-pulse, we are convinced today’s consumer is on the hunt for individualism in fashion. THE SHOP was launched in May 2009 and offers the most sought after pieces from more than 2,000 designers around the world. Every now and then we also invite a new celebrity or key industry figure to join us in the selection process, resulting in a different and unique collection.
WHAT IS NOT JUST A LABEL AND WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE
NOT JUST A LABEL ("NJAL") is the London based online platform for emerging graduates and design talent, counting more than a two thousand fashion designers from over forty countries. It provides an outlet for talent to blossom; a place where visionaries meet collaborators dedicated to the creative spirit of fashion. The platform targets the best emerging and avant-garde fashion designers, providing a stage where collections are showcased online. Numerous designers have already been discovered by international press and recruited by renowned retailers and prestigious fashion houses via the NJAL website.
I AM A DESIGNER AND WOULD LIKE TO SELL MY PIECES THROUGH THE SHOP
If you are a registered NJAL designer and have an exciting piece from your current collection ready to be sold, please login to NOT JUST A LABEL and use the ADD ITEM link on your look book page to submit an item. Our team will then decide if the garment is suitable for THE SHOP and complies to the high quality standards we expect from all NJAL designers.
MANY DESIGNERS ARE UNKNOWN TO ME, WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE TO BUY FROM THEM
Young designers recognise the responsibility in creating sustainable fashion. By applying artisan craftsmanship they are known to create products that have classic values with longer lasting qualities and we hope that consumers and buyers will soon recognise this opportunity. Every item displayed on THE SHOP is unique or part of a small production, we believe it is more valuable and eco-friendly to buy an item you can keep for more seasons.
WHAT DOES "DELIVERY FROM DESIGNER'S STUDIO" MEAN?
NJAL now offers its designers the possibility to sell their items directly from their studio. This selling right is given only to designers who have proved to be able to guarantee the same high quality standards that NJAL provides to its customers. For you as customer all remains the same, except the delivery is being organised by the designer. NJAL's role is to connect the buyer and the seller; in this case we are a venue, not a retailer. We act as a payment platform and supervise the process; only once we know you are completely satisfied with your purchase we will credit the designer.
AN ITEM IS DISPLAYED AS IN SOMEONE ELSE'S CART, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN
As soon as you add an item to your shopping cart we will grant you a temporary reservation of the item. No other customer will be able to buy this item for a short period of time. As soon as you close your browser window or clear your shopping cart the product will be released to the public again.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Solo, Electron, JCB, PayPal and Maestro credit and debit cards through our SagePay secure e-payments platform.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE AN ORDER BY PAYPAL OR BY PHONE
In certain cases we might be able to make an exception. Please note this would always be at NJAL’s discretion.
CAN I SEND AN ITEM AS A GIFT
Yes, please use the comment box before completing your order to notify us or the designer. The gift will be sent without an invoice to delivery addresses within the EU. Please note that due to customs restrictions, we must include an invoice on all international orders. The invoice will be placed outside the gift packaging.
IS IT SAFE TO USE MY CREDIT CARD ONLINE AT THE SHOP
Our site is as secure as it can be made. We use HSBC Secure ePayments to process payments and DigiCert to provide security to the NOT JUST A LABEL Websites by enabling the encryption of data transmitted between NOT JUST A LABEL and your browser during an encrypted SSL/TLS session (look for the padlock).
WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING RATES
All prices include worldwide shipping provided by UPS if sold through NJAL's Showroom, or another major shipping company if sent directly by the designer. Please find more information in our Shipping & Returns section.
WHAT IF THE DESIGNER DOES NOT FULFILL MY ORDER?
NJAL stands for distinguished customer care and will supervise all order processes. All our designers guarantee highest quality of materials, expeditious delivery and outstanding service. All payments are processed through the HSBC Secure ePayments system, and designers will only be credited after satisfactory completion of your order.
IN WHAT PACKAGING WILL MY GOODS BE DELIVERED
If sold through the NJAL Showroom your order will be wrapped in luxurious tissue paper, tied with ribbon and sent in a branded white NJAL box. The package will be protected during transit. Shoes and larger orders may shipped by using standard UPS paks and boxes. If Items are being shipped directly by one of our designers, rest assured we demand the same immaculate customer care and will make sure you will be very completely satisfied.
